Simena® announces a new product, Traffic Generator TG1000

Sterling, VA, December 19, 2005— Simena, innovative leader in networking test equipment field,
announced the launch of the new product, Traffic Generator TG1000, unique test equipment for proactive
and effective network testing. Its patent-pending Capture&Replay™ feature can be used to capture high
speed real-time data packets such as VoIP or IPTV streams without affecting the quality. These captured
files can be replayed at the same characteristics or at different speeds or to different destinations.
Alternatively, they may be transferred over network for further analysis or to replay at another location.

TG1000 also provides high speed controllable traffic generation. It can easily saturate gigabit Ethernet
connections with traffic characterized by Ethernet, IP addresses, and TCP/UDP port numbers. Packet
size and traffic rate are specified in various ways. In addition, source and destination addresses, as well
as payload can be modified for each packet by one many methods to create more realistic load effects.
TG1000 is a portable appliance with 10/100/1000BaseTX interfaces. It is completely managed by the
easy to use web GUI and provides detailed statistics.
